Upper Sheringham is mid-way between the Georgian market town of Holt and the seaside resort of Cromer with its famous pier. We are quietly placed on the edge of the National Trust’s Sheringham Park but only a mile from Sheringham town with its range of traditional shops, pubs, tea rooms and restaurants and its unspoilt beach.

The North Norfolk Railway offers a 10.5 mile round trip by steam train (vintage diesel trains on some journeys) through a delightful area of North Norfolk designated as being of outstanding natural beauty.
The Norfolk Shire Horse Centre (www.norfolk-shirehorse-centre.co.uk)
The object of this centre is to bring together a collection of different breeds of draft horses. Some originated in this country and some are European breeds. The shire horses are complemented with a number of breeds of ponies which are native to the UK, and some have foals which are also on display. We think we have created a unique collection.

Holkham Hall, nature reserve and beach where many films including 'Shakespeare in Love' have been filmed. The beach is a long sandy unspoilt beach backed by pine woods. Along with visiting the hall and park there is also a bygones museum, shops and tea rooms.

The Pavilion Theatre is a 510-seater venue perched on the end of the Pier. The theatre is best known for hosting the famous end of the pier show "Seaside Special". The theatre also presents a high quality mix of comedy, music, dance, opera, musicals and community shows.

The Bittern Line (Sheringham - Norwich) (www.bitternline.com)
The line is some 30 miles long, connecting the magnificent city of Norwich with the north Norfolk coastal towns of Cromer and Sheringham, via the Norfolk Broads at Salhouse, Hoveton and Wroxham. Its name recognises a special, local bird, which has a distinctive booming call. National Express operates a regular, almost hourly service along the route (less frequent on Sundays) which has been described as "One of the most picturesque lines in the country".

Extreeme Adventure is a high ropes course, built in some of the tallest trees in Eastern England, in the beautiful "New Wood", part of the Weasenham Woods, Norfolk. Hours of adrenaline rushing family fun (must be 10 years of age plus) which takes aerial trekking to new extremes. Swing, climb and jump at 20ft or 40ft for the more adventurous! High up in the trees there are over 20 different elements to conquer. In addition there is a 3G swing, a 85ft fan descender jump and a 1,000ft zip wire, both respectively thought to be Britain's highest and longest.
